Language Arts  
No homework

Social Studies
- Mesopotamian Song - due tomorrow!  You will have time in class to practice and record. 
- Mesopotamia Unit Test, Ch.4-6 - postponed to Monday, October 21st - sorry!
- 100 terms quiz - Egypt & Kush, #28-39 - Thursday, Oct. 17th!  Start studying!

Math
- Login to Khan Academy and take the Pretest (there's only eight problems) --- do not guess on the answers --- if you are not sure, click on "I haven't learned this yet." After you're done with the pretest, search for "Adding negative numbers" and "Adding and subtracting negative numbers" and try to pass LEVEL ONE by getting five in a row correct!

- Be prepared for your COM presentation this Fri. 10/18 --- for more information check the Edline post.

Recommended homework for tonight from the Number System Unit 1 Checklist:

- Take notes on Lesson 3-6 and 4-7 either based on the online video tutorials on the Holt website or based on the examples in the book

Science
- online Chapter 2 Review due this Fri. 10/18 (this will help you review for the Chapter 2 Quiz taking place on Friday) 

- complete your rough draft of the Pre-write for the Solar Heating Inquiry Lab (if you haven't finished it yet):

• Hypothesis
• Materials
• Procedure

Make sure to create a graph that you can keep track of temperatures on during the experiement tomorrow.
 
- setup your Solar Heating Inquiry Lab webpage on your Google Sites ePortfolio --- follow the instructions on the Team E Earth Science page

- work on the Heat Transfer Project (due Tuesday, 10/29); at this point in time, you should have already decided whether to use Comic Life, GoAnimate, Pixton, Strip Generator, or another animated program that you've found  
(It is important to play around with the program you're planning to use before you start your project. You might want to look for tutorials on YouTube that show you how to use the program that you're using --- such as GoAnimate)

- Chapter 2 Quiz this Fri. 10/18!!!
