Recommended homework for tonight from the Number System Unit 2 Checklist:
- Take notes on Lesson 4-3 either based on the online video tutorials on the Holt website or based on the examples in the book and complete homework assignment for Section 4-3

- continue working on Challenge of the Month: Measuring Up --- we will have our first workshop next Tuesday, 1/21 --- come prepared to get help or give help on levels beyond A

Science
- print Chapter 11 Section 1 (only last 2 pages, not the first page), and Chapter 11 Section 2 Guided Notes
- Weather Project due this Fri. 1/17 (if you're still not done editing, make sure you come in at Brunch or Lunch to do so!)
- finish creating your profile map according to the directions on pg. 99 of your Science Notebook --- some tips:

• put the topographic map below your graph paper (you might want to put a small piece of tape in between the two sheets to hold them in place)
• FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE on pg. 99 of your Science Notebook --- use a ruler to help you bring up the rightmost and leftmost edge of each contour line and mark them as dots on your graph paper
• in the end, connect all the dots and you should see a mountain with two peaks
